Promplty: Promptly is recognized as an innovation partner to rethink healthcare and clinical research. We promote better healthcare at lower costs for patients every day
through the use of Real World Evidence. Together with a selected network of Partners, Promptly generates new knowledge from harmonized datasets, augmented with the

CanaryBit: CanaryBit is a leading solutions provider in confidential computing and Confidential data analytics, working to protect enterprise data throughout its complete lifecycle. We contribute a central piece to end-to-end data protection by enabling encryption of data in use.

What attracted you to DIGIT-PRE?

What initially drew us to DIGIT-PRE was their commitment to fostering collaborative partnerships. We view DIGIT-PRE as a catalyst for successful collaboration
between the Norte region of Portugal and Skåne, stimulating industry clusters and enabling businesses to leverage synergies. The strategic advice from the DIGIT-PRE team
has been instrumental in strengthening our collaboration and driving our project forward.

Could you describe your common project "Confidence" in a few words?

The Confidence project will deploy a platform to explore digital biomarkers through data analytics. Personalized information (risk score) is calculated through cross-siloed Federated Learning and data training on a cloud service that protects data throughout its lifecycle using confidential computing. The individual disease prediction
scores at this digital solution can be accessed easily by everyone using a smartphone.

What challenges have you faced so far when working with a partner from another country?

Our experience working with partners from other countries has been smooth, largely due to our proficiency in collaborating within diverse environments.
However, this collaboration will also push us to continuously improve our working methodologies to naturally overcome the challenges inherent in each partnership,
fostering growth in our international engagements. We always encourage embracing alternative approaches to enhance our processes.

Finally, have you already taken part in a European project before? If not, what are your concerns? If so, why do it again?

Yes, both companies have actively participated in European projects before. Continuing to engage in these opportunities allows us to build upon our established
expertise and further enhance our experience and networks within the European community. By participating again, we can stay at the forefront of innovation and collaboration in our field. These projects offer invaluable opportunities for growth, knowledge exchange, and fostering strong international partnerships that drive both our organizational goals and the broader European agenda forward.
